A Dixon farmer has announced he’s running in the newly drawn Illinois House 74th District. Republican candidate Brad Fritts says one of the main reasons he decided to run is because of issues surrounding the state’s economic structure. He says that the state has almost every resource, but still have nothing to show for it.
The twenty-two year old is also a part of the Lee County Republican Precinct Committee. He says he wants to stay and fight for a better future..
He says he’s currently works a psychology teacher at Newman High School in Sterling. He says he agrees with the Sangamon County judges’ decision which stops Gov. Pritzker’s mask mandate in schools.
He would replace current Dixon Republican St. Rep Tom Demmer, who is running to try to become the next state treasurer.
